    shelter-logo-colorThe Animal Shelter Bonaire receives cats and dogs daily that are abandoned, born in the wild, or can no longer can be taken care of by their owners. The staff and volunteers care for these pets until an new home is found for them. All pets receive anti-worm medication, sterilization and treatment for illnesses.

    Boarding kennel and gift shop
    The Animal Shelter Bonaire also has boarding facilities for cats and dogs. There is also a gift shop where you can find pet treats and toys as well as t-shirts.

Bonny the Superdog

Bonny the Superdog is a new initiative of the Animal Shelter Bonaire targeted at reducing the growing number of unwanted and neglected dogs and cats, through a sterilization project. Location: Bonaire, Dutch Antilles
Goal: sterilize 500 more dogs and cats within a one year period, starting May 15th 2009.
So far: 507 pets were sterilized!!
